Just wondering if anyone has tried cooking a turkey crown from frozen in the slow cooker? If so how long did it take and how was it please?

Does it not need defrosting?

Can you cook it from frozen? If it like a chicken the bones tend to soften if slow cooked.

Sounds highly risky to me!

PoisonousSmurf · 19/12/2018 20:30

Needs to be defrosted first. Better not risk it.

Haworthia · 19/12/2018 20:30

From frozen? Absolutely no way. The outside will be cooking and the inside will be much, much colder. Huge food poisoning risk.

Don't do it unless you want to be really illEnvy (not envy)

I have actually read you can cook it from frozen, takes a whole lot longer. Too much of a coward to try it though.
