OMG alcoholic custard! :-))

I just had my first Advocaat. Soooo nice! Like alcoholic custard! I wonder, could I incorporate it into a trifle, somehow?

Whip it into the cream?

I pour it over ice cream

Mix it into the custard? Or use in place of custard?

It is a delicious doughnut filling.

TBH, if kids aren’t eating with us I mix up custard powder using 2-3 tbsp brandy instead of milk to make the paste, then add hot milk as normal. Goes brilliantly with apple crumble.

We serve ice cream with sultanas soaked in rum or brandy at Christmas. Slightly similar. Bloody yum too.

Screw the dessert and just drink Screwballs! Advocaat, fizzy orange and plenty of ice........yummy!
