Nigella's banana cake with rum - what other alcohol (if any) would do instead?

Just about to make this and I discover we have no rum. We have most other spirits. What could I use instead, or will it be a disaster?

I've used brandy with no ill-effects!

I've made that plenty of times with brandy and whiskey, either or, depending on what I have.

I made this the other day with no alcohol, and it was lovely (but i did add some cream cheese and icing sugar frosting).
