I read on a thread here recently about just do this, then that and it seemed so easy.

So I've bought milk & greek yogurt to start but when I google, it wants me to boil milk and use a digital food thermometer and all sorts.

Please could someone tell me if there's a really easy way and share the steps.

I bought UHT milk and a live starter yoghurt, and just pressed the yoghurt button. No heating or food thermometers involved... It’s almost certainly wrong, and I don’t know how long it would keep - but it was fine for a few days. It did need straining to remove some of the whey to make it thicker.

Every nook and cranny has the same method which I followed to make yoghurt which was lovely and very simple.

I’ve used the Every Nook and Cranny recipe too, using semi skimmed uht and dried milk powder. It’s so easy, all other methods have looked quite a faff, and the yoghurt is absolutely beautiful!

Thanks. I thought I could just do similar with normal milk but I guess not. Aargh! Will make plenty of milkshake over the next few days & maybe look into it more.

Oh, I'm disappointed. I had painted my happy tomorrow making successful Greek yogurt & gifting it to the family, to be mighty impressed with my skills & make my mother want the IP she doesn't know I've got her for Christmas!

There is a brilliant instant pot group on Facebook run by instant pot themselves, there's loads of recipes and amazing people willing to help with any question! I did a Greek yoghurt recipe from here and it wasn't hard at all. Also check out the lemon curd recipe-it amazing and sooooo simple!

Thanks @canihaveacoffeeplease - will look that up. Had another look at normal milk way & doesn't look that bad but need a digital food thermometer. Off to check Argos....

Just made Greek yogurt with normal milk & turned out so great. Used some of the yogurt to make flatbreads. Yum!
