it is lovely, but very very rich

we halved it between us so you don't have to make it for 4

Ooh, yes was going to do that one for dh and I this week. I've never had much success with gordon's recipes in the past but these ones looked quite straightforward.

Olive, just tried this. House now also smells of butter and rosemary . It is very very nice but rich and probably has too many calories. I did the prawn and tomato spaghetti on friday and that was delicious too. Thanks for the tip off.

does anyone have the chilli prawn recipe?
cant find it on the f word site

hoxtonchick · 23/07/2007 21:46

oh, i am trying a version of this tonight. no green beans so i've used asparagus, & i think i've got the wrong kind of goat's cheese. ho hum. smells nice though....

hoxtonchick · 23/07/2007 22:16

delicious . reckon the children would like it too.

popsycal · 24/07/2007 07:40

what's the recipe for the chili one?

popsycal · 14/08/2007 14:55

going to make this tonight for the first time.
how would you adjust it for a 2 and 5 year old......
am thinking leave out the chilli and salt and replace goats' cheese with something else?

popsycal · 14/08/2007 15:42

.

hoxtonchick · 14/08/2007 15:46

i did a simplified version without chilli, & added cream instead of goat's cheese. they didn't like the look of it, but actually ate it quite happily. hth.

popsycal · 14/08/2007 15:48

i have cream and might add a little bit of normal grated cheese. Did you do the chicken together in one pan (as the chilli comes after the chicekn has cooked doesnt it) and then separate in the second stage?

hoxtonchick · 14/08/2007 20:48

i fried the chicken first, then took it out & did the beans with some garlic then added the cream, chopped the chicken up & stirred it through at the end. so it bears very little resembalence to the original recipe (i did use a bit of rosemary however).

Just want to re-bump this fab recipe.

Tonight, I replaced the chicken with bacon, the chillis with 1tsp of lazy chilli from a jar and the fresh rosemary with a sprinkling of dried rosemary. goats' cheese relaced with grated cheddar and added a few good splodges of creme fraiche right at the end. served with tagliatelle

yum
