I've previously stuck with St Delia's recipe, but this year thought I'd give the Felicity Cloake one a go (www.theguardian.com/food/2018/nov/07/how-to-make-christmas-cake-recipe-felicity-cloake)
The Delia one usually takes around 4-4.5 hours to cook, but the recipe above reckons only 1.5 hours. It's at a slightly higher temp (only 10 degrees) and has smaller quantities of flour/butter/sugar (125g rather than 225g in the Delia one) but the same amount of fruit and eggs.
Anyway, I think the cake was done after 1.5 hours but left it in for an extra 10 minutes just in case. Now I'm panicking that it's not had long enough!
I just can't get my head around the huge difference in cooking time between the two recipes. How long do you normally cook yours for?
