Can I have your recommendations please? Ds will be 10 in December, it’s a crazy time and I don’t have the time / energy/ skill to bake a cake. He has 12 friends coming to the party, he’s not bothered about novelty cakes he would just like a nice moist tasty sponge cake.
Which are the best ones?

The ones from M&S are always delicious (can't go wrong with Colin the Caterpillar!) or I've also had the Fiona Cairns ones from Waitrose (and Waitrose own ones) which I've been impressed with

costco birthday cake is amazing! lovely moist sponge and thick sweet icing. only around £15 i think for a huge cake. we ordered one for my son’s birthday and i must have eaten at least half of it to myself 🙈

We just used an M&S one - it was brilliant and everyone loved it!

Love M&S
Dd had a multilayer rainbow one last year ( appreciate may not be ideal for your son) and he friends have asked if she will be having the same this year. I also may have eaten a lot of it and I’m not a huge cake fan

My family are lovers of the big gooey chocolate one from Asda, £12 I think. We tried a waitrose one this year and it wasn't any where near as good as the Asda one.
