I need to buy a new beater ... what’s the difference between normal one and flex edge?

I think the flex one is for folding?

Both can do the same thing, but the flexible edge is good to have, because you don't have to stop every so often (or as much versus the normal beater) to scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula.

I tend to just bung everything in and just mix
