Only used ours once and bought really, really cheap supermarket brand to try it out. Seemed to work ok.
It's DD's birthday this weekend and promised her I would get the fountain out for her.
Choccie recommendations would be much appreciated.
Don't really have time to order online now.
TIA

tbh we have used the value chocolate from morrisons, tesco and asda its its all been lovely. I know the morrisons one is about 25p a bar, we normally buy lots of milk choc and a couple of dark and mix the 2, it tends to make a nicer flavour.

HTH

some of the value choccy bars are surprisingly nice actually- iirc asda is best

What about toblerone?
I don't know about fountains but it's the best for fondue
yum

wurlywurly · 19/06/2007 19:24

dont think youcan put toblerone in it as the little bits would get stuck.

I'm going to watch this now as I'm tempted to get one for the weekend!

Thorntons do the proper choccy for fountains that you don't have to add oil to. It tastes so much nicer than when you have to add oil. It's £3.50 a bag and you need two to make it work. I top it up (if needed ) with normal, cheap chooccy.

We've only used ours once but we used (2x400g and 1/2 of a 200g bar) Sainsbury's Dark Chocolate with a bit of oil. Seemed to work well (but then again, we love this choc anyway!)
Would be interested in trying out other brands and seeing what a difference it makes.

Do you mix both dark and milk chocolate for the chocolate fountain or not?

Anthea19 · 24/01/2024 20:37

Do you mix both chocolate together for the chocolate fountain? Or did you just use either white chocolates or milk chocolate Tesco brand
