Rice cooker query

Hello
I've just started using a rice cooker and I really like it - so much easier than another pan on the go and not worrying about timings - BUT I've found that when I save the rice e.g. To put in a packed lunch it's really hard the next day. I know rice dries out in the fridge but this doesn't happen so much with pan cooked rice. Anyone get what I mean and knows the answer?
Thanks in advance

Do you add oil when cooking?

Thanks for replying. No, I just rinse the rice then cook with water and sometimes a little salt. It's perfectly cooked when I eat it first time round

It will dry out in the fridge though. Maybe drizzle on a bit of olive oil (or melt butter) when it's still warm then cool and refrigerate. Do you add any veggies to it?

I add lots of water and when I feel the rice is cooked, I drain it. That way the rice won’t stick.. I don’t add salt or oil...
