Can I ask for your gooey flapjack recipes?

Living abroad and have finally managed to locate some golden syrup (wahey!), but can't for the life of me find my old recipe for flapjacks, and I've been fancying them for ages.

Does anyone have a tried and tested recipe (that produces gooey rather than hard flapjacks)?

Thank you!

I melt 8oz of butter, 8oz of golden syrup and 4 oz demerara sugar in a pan. Stir in 9oz of normal oats and 9oz of jumbo oats, then bake at 150 (140 fan) degrees for 20-25 minutes. Press down in the tin when they come out of the oven to prevent too much crumbling!

The one and only flapjack recipe involves condensed milk. It is so lush that we have a household ban on making it unless endurance exercise is to be involved
