Depends on type of cheese. Hard cheese, particularly parmesan, probably. Soft cheese - no way!

easywriter · 15/06/2007 15:51

Yep!

Jojay · 15/06/2007 15:51

No

MuminBrum · 15/06/2007 15:51

What Mumpbump said. Also, might give small slice to DP and see if he keels over before feeding it to anyone else.

Drusilla · 15/06/2007 15:52

Yes, if it looks like it should do

easywriter · 15/06/2007 15:53

You want me to elaborate don't you?
Most freezers can freeze cheese fine for a year, check your star rating (sorry I don't know what it's properly called) the only thing is frozen/thawed cheese is v. crumbly.

TooTicky · 15/06/2007 15:53

It's Cheshire.

Oh, that's crumbly anyway. I don't eat cheese but ds1 and ds2 face a cheeseless weekend otherwise.

If in doubt, "cook" it and that should kill off any nasties...

TooTicky · 15/06/2007 15:58

Thanks, think I'll do that.

it wont hurt you, food keeps indefinatly in the freezer. It jsut might taste vile.

belgo · 15/06/2007 16:03

Yup.
Never heard of anyone being killed by frozen cheese.

Desiderata · 15/06/2007 17:55

Wow! I didn't even know you could freeze cheese.

belgo · 15/06/2007 18:39

good idea to grate it then freeze it!

honeybrown · 15/06/2007 18:46

Could be the perfect murder Noodlestroodle - knock them on the head with the frozen lump then thaw, grate and use. Voila - murder weapon destroyed.....

Wisteria · 15/06/2007 18:47

It's fine x

j20baby · 15/06/2007 18:52

at honeybrown!
like in bad girls where a knife of ice got used, and then it melted, ingenious!

i didn't know it could be frozen neither, do you just take it out and leave it to thaw?
