How long will whipped cream stay whipped?

Doing a strawberry gateau for a colleagues birthday. Will be presenting and eating the cake on Tuesday afternoon.
What’s the earliest I can assemble the cake before the whipped Cream will just dissolve? Can be kept in a fridge.

When I make one I do it just before I serve it but after serving, what is left goes in the fridge and gets eaten next day. While it is fine the cream is harder and so is the sponge cake but it's of course edible. Not really helpful per se but yes you can do it the night before and store in fridge or first thing in morning and store in fridge at work til needed.
