Vegan dessert ideas

I've got a vegan friend coming round for dinner next weekend - does anyone have any suggestions on nice desserts that are vegan? Somehow I'm finding dessert more difficult than the main course.

Mango sorbet, with shortbread made from marg rather than butter. Freeze dried raspberries on top.

Or there's a vegan meringue recipe in the guardian today which uses chickpea water. I know it sounds unlikely, but I promise Its good.

Make it into a pav with non-dairy cream.

Shop bought- own brand strudel tends to be vegan (Tesco/Sainsbury's) and the Alpro soya custard is pretty close to the real thing. Mr Kipling's treacle tart is also vegan but I find it a bit sickly.

If you want to make something, fruit crumble using vegan 'butter' or similar- there are loads of suggestions online. Or the ready roll jus-roll puff-pastry is also vegan!

The chick pea water merungue is a winner- i've made it.

Birds custard powder is vegan. Just use rice/oat milk to make it.

Not a vegan, but that banana ice cream that you make by putting frozen sliced banana in the blender is really good. Add some nuts and fruit coulis and make a sundae.

I can't find the recipe now but I made an apple crumble that used coconut oil (the solid kind) instead of butter that was delicious.

Mango sorbet is a good idea! Anyone who has a recipe on this?
