Piñata/ surprise cake with sweets?!

Hi all, new to the baking board! I’m looking to make a piñata/ surprise cake for a birthday party (where when you cut a piece a load of smarties or something fall out). I’ve got a couple of dairy free guests though, any ideas of what sweets could work? Ideally bright colours like smarties would be but everything I can think would surely get all sticky inside the cake? (jelly beans, mini jelly babies etc).

We did a Piñata cake for my 16th birthday party. If you look up Piñata cakes I’m sure you can find something that might be suitable. Just be careful. What sort of party is it?

It’s a children’s birthday party. This is the sort of cake I mean I just can’t put chocolate in it!

Fizzles? Love hearts? Dolly mixture.. tangfastics? Parma violets? Go to a old fashion sweet shop with pic n mix!

Skittles?

What about chocolate coins?

Dolly mixtures/ fizzles could work thank you! Skittles I’m not sure about as a possible choking hazard as there will be lots of toddlers! No to chocolate of any sorts due to dairy allergies unfortunately.
