Gluten free bread

I am about to try the Clever Gut exclusion diet to work out what is triggering my gut issues. So I will be gluten free for a while, has anyone used their bread maker to make g/f bread that is acceptable? Any top tips?

Should you not see a GP for coeliac testing first

I am trying the Clever Gut approach because it eliminates some foods in phases, and seems like a good way of pinpointing the cause of the problem. I have always digested pasta with difficulty, so gluten is an obvious thing to start with.

But to get a positive coeliac test you would need to be eating gluten. Have you not seen a gp first before cutting food out of your diet?

There's a book called gluten free bread and cakes from your breadmaker. We used to use it quite a lot. I seem to remember lots of the recipes involve mixing in the breadmaker and then baking in a regular oven. You get better results that way, but it's a bit of a hassle. There's an amazing focaccia recipe in that book which I made several times.
