Tell me about pressure cooking

I just bought a pressure cooker and have never used one before. Should I get a recipe book specifically for pressure cooking, or is there a formula for tweaking regular recipes instead?

There isn't a formula but you can probably Google timings. So basically I just do the time for the thing that needs longest in a stew or soup. Or alternatively you can cook the meat first then add the vegetables and give it a couple more minutes. Still fry the onions first and seal the meat I tend to do that in a non stick pan then transfer it.

I have this one

Helped me get off to a good start and once I'd tried a few recipes I was happier converting my normal recipes for the pressure cooker. It also has some suggestions that I'd never have thought to try in a pressure cooker.

It would be best if you get a cook book specifically for pressure cooking. It will help you a lot and can make your cooking easy and efficient.
