Can you recommend me a slow cooker (one that sautés)

I have a Crock Pot slow cooker which has a ceramic pot that you can remove from the base and use on the hob to brown things. Unfortunately this part does not work on my induction hob so I end up having to sauté stuff first in a separate pan and then transfer to the slow cooker. I know that some people just chuck everything in the slow cooker and switch it on, but I can't bring myself to do that!

So I'm looking for a slow cooker that also sautés in its base IYKWIM, and one I can roast a joint in.

Thanks!

I think the instapot does that - you sauté right in the pot and then switch it over to the slow cook or pressure cooker setting.

I don't have one though - I brown things first in a frying pan on the hob and tip into the slow cooker! I tried making bolognese once just putting the mince in raw and it was so watery and flavourless.

I only have a very basic slow cooker so do what you do now OP. I don't like or buy anything with a non stick coating so it rules most of the swanky ones out.

We have the Lakeland multicooker and can sauté in that. It has loads of uses and a self clean function.
