Feeding the teenage beasties

Well they aren't beasties really, more like the divas in the Snickers ads when they're hungry. Which they are - a lot.

I'm trying to get tips on good healthy snacks to have around particularly for when they get home from school. So far I've tried Quorn mini-sausages and falafels and they go down really well. I don't mind them having something a bit sweet as they're really active. But so many of the 'snack' items just seem to be all sweet or all salty and fatty. Otherwise they'll make themselves loads of toast and then not be hungry again until too late in the evening.

Any healthy/tasty/satisfying-but-not-too-satisfying snack suggestions out there?

Thank you!

Hard boiled eggs. Easy to prepare ahead and healthy. I boil some up at the start of the week write the boiled date on them with a Sharpie and then stick them in the fridge.
