My tree is literally weighed down this year and the kids and I have picked loads this afternoon. Apart from the obvious plum jam, what else can I make as we really don’t eat much jam? Thanks!

Stew them and and eat with porridge, yoghurt, ice cream, custard....
Plum clafoutis is lovely
You could make chutney - could be a fab DIY gift idea for Xmas

They go really well with pork if you fancy something savoury - try this www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chinese-braised-pork-plums

They make a good tarte tatin. Mary Berry uses marzipan in her recipe, but if you don't like marzipan use Jamie's recipe!

Plum tart made with shortcrust pastry, frangipane and halved plums stuck in cut side down is delicious. Glaze afterwards with apricot jam. Yum!

Roast plums with thyme and honey go really well with pork.

Stew them with vanilla, honey and a squeeze of lemon to go with porridge/yogurt/on ice cream.

Boil equal quantities of sugar and water till the sugar dissolves, add in lots of chopped plums, boil for a couple of minutes and then let cool and sit the mixture in the fridge for a couple of days. Strain, and it makes a gorgeous plum syrup - cordial, or even better pour into prosecco/champagne for yum christmas drinks!

Dice them up really small and put into american-style pancake batter with a bit of cinnamon. Top with creme fraiche and honey.

Plum crumble is the finest of all crumbles. Freeze some plums and have crumble all winter.

Great thanks all! I fancy the plum
Chutney idea Blondie as I love sweet recipes but have put on too much weight over the Summer so don’t want to just make desserts. Mind you, plum crumble French Mmmmmmmmm! Delicious.
