A couple of years ago I found an amazing soup recipe on here.
it was veg with peanut butter stirred in and it was amazing. All I can remember is that it probably had sweet potato or pumpkin, chilli and peanut butter. there were possibly lentils involved but I'm not sure.

Please please help, I want to make it for a friend for after she has her baby. thanks

I make one from a book called Genius Recipe Soup by Suzy Fowler.
1 large or 2 small onions
1 thinly sliced potato
2 sweet potatoes sliced thinly
Clove of garlic if liked
Chicken stock
1 tablespoon peanut butter
Hot sauce if liked

In a saucepan place the thinly sliced onion with 2 tablespoons oil or if you prefer butter, sprinkle some salt.
Cook over a very low heat, after a few minutes add the garlic if using. The onions are supposed to be cooked very slowly and covered.
Cook until very tender. They should be stewd rather than fried.
Add the thinly sliced potato and thinly sliced sweet potatoes.
Cook with the onions for a few minutes and add just enough chicken stock to cover.
Simmer until potatoes are very tender. Add the peanut butter and adjust seasoning.
Crush with a fork or puree with blender, add hot sauce if using.
If soup is too thick add enough chicken stock for consistency to your liking.
To serve you can sprinkle with chopped salted peanuts which you toast lightly in a frying pan
