Help! Do I need to cook this for longer if I’m doubling the recipe?

Sorry, I probably should know this Blush.

I’m making this ragu recipe but doubling the ingredients as I’m making for 6 (with a bit to freeze).

Do I need to extend the cooking time do you think?

Thanks!

I dont think so. It may take slightly longer to reach a simmer but once there I guess it all cooks evenly. Ragu benefits from long slow cooking anyway.

Fab, thanks! I’m planning on making it ahead and then reheating tomorrow or Sunday anyway.

Would that be OK do you think?

You don't need to cook it for longer as Raininsummer says - and it will be fine kept chilled until Sunday and will probably be better for being kept.

As others have said, no need to cook for longer, will be absolutely fine on Sunday, I bet the flavours will have developed even more by then too - yum!

Definitely long slow cooking, 3 or 4 hours on really low and it's even better the next day. Yummmm enjoy !

Sorry, me again!

How’s it best to reheat please?
