Yay or Nay?
Chicken breast, free range (if that makes a difference). Use by date is 15th. Looks and smells fine... I am not too bothered usually by dates on food. if it was beef i wouldn't hesitate. But chicken ??? Hmmm

Dear God nay.

As it smells ok I would

If it has been sealed and refrigerated correctly I would cook it now.

My general rule of thumb is 48 hours after manufacturing 'use by' date if it looks & smells okay.

I would with anything but chicken. Last time I tried that one I rejoined the human race 12lbs lighter after living in my bathroom for 5 days with campylobacter. Utterly horrendous. It took me a couple of months to get over it properly.
