Passion fruit

I've come home from holidays to a gazillion well maybe 30 passion fruits about to ripen on our previously barren passion flower climber! I love passion fruit but would probably get through 5 a year so this is an unprecedented bounty. How shall I use them??

Definitely juice some of them for the most divine fruit juice. Where roughly do you live that means you have a passion fruit tree?

Passion fruit curd

HolyShirtBalls · 14/08/2018 22:48

Drooling at the curd - definitely on the list. Juice sounds good too, thanks.

I'm in Dublin. The plant is a climber, not a tree. We have a long, ugly side wall that I planted passion flower plants against to try to hide its cell block overtones. This is the first year they've produced anything more than their beautiful flowers, bonus!

Have you carefully tended to it? Or is it really hot with you?

HolyShirtBalls · 15/08/2018 16:20

Not very much tender loving care at all. We don't usually have very hot weather but we had two glorious months earlier in the summer that seem to have brought on these beauties.

The most gorgeous food on earth. You must jar it somehow.

AnnieOH1 · 15/08/2018 18:41

Seriously? You can grow passionfruit in northern europe? I'm shocked!
