DH and I need to start being a it more careful with what we are eating during the week. We both need to lose some extra pounds before the summer holidays. We have gotten into bad habits recently.

I have joined the gym and DH keeps going out for a run each night. So food is next.

Have to start being really good during the week as weekends are a bit of a nightmare - int he next two months we have balls, weekends away, BBQs, parties, birthdays, etc. so will be eating and drinking then.

I don't eat meat but I do love fish and seafood. DH does eat meat - him and DD normally eat the same meal. DH and DD will also have fish and veggie dishes too.

So, what are you favourite meals/recipes for dieting types? I need some inspiration.

just ditch the carb
meat / fish / whatever protein you like, and a big salad or lots of veg

Or reduce the amount of carb, and make it brown carb.

My DH has lost over a stone in 5 weeks doing this

porrige in the morning made with water, with some sliced banana

protein for lunch and dinner with tonnes of green veg

no potatos, no carrots, no bread, no pasta, only carbs he has is the porridge. no booze either !

lots of water

snacks on rice cakes, nuts & seed, fruit and non starchy veg

and hard excercise 4 times a week

i need to do it too, but i love bread too much !

I lost half a stone before m wedding by just replacing sandwiches for lunch with salad.
I need to do it again though to get rid of about a stone

I only get to go to the gym twice a week, but it is better than nothing.

I struggled when I tried the no carb - felt very sick and dizzy.

I tend to do the WW type diet - the counting points. Have found that works really well for us in the past.

Just need some inspiration of actual meal ideas - some recipes maybe. Need to do some weekly menu planning again!
