Recipe for cake offcuts?

I have a tub of the offcuts of chocolate cake left over from carving DC's Birthday cake into shape. I'd like to turn these into a grownup dessert of some kind. Does anyone have any recipes that use cake as an ingredient? I don't want to just ice it and use it as cake, would prefer to do something more interesting (possibly boozy so it's not for DCs)

Tiramisu or trifle?

Chocolate trifle, tiramisu, mix it with ice cream.

How about baked alaska? You could use a filling of framboise soaked raspberries, cognac cherries or champagne summer fruits

Black Forest trifle

Trifle

My recipe is:

Remove icecream from freezer
Crumble cake onto icecream
Eat out of the tub with a big spoon standing in the kitchen

The tiramisu idea is good though.

Cake pops. Mix the sponge with buttercream, roll into balls, dip in chocolate or whatever

Russian cake

Fenwick used to sell it before their deli got all branded. Delish.

Drench cake in liqueur or spirit of choice, add ice cream and chocolate sauce.

Serve small portions as it's very rich and stash the remainder for you when everyone's gone home. Wink
