Help me with picnic ideas!!

Am on holiday in Ireland, it’s not blazing sunshine sadly and have 3 under 6 with fairly typical tastes - they aren’t Uber fussy but neither are they eating fine diners. We’ve had a week of picnicking at the beach but it’s been a bit haphazard. So I am looking for your fail safe easy picnic ideas for a bit of variety. Have done ham and cheese rolls, soft cheese roll ups on wraps, trail mix pots (which I make up myself with a mix of nuts, raisins, dried apricots and cranberries and a few squares of chocolate) with a bag of crisps, and a couple of apples and bananas to top it up. But it gets a bit repetitive!

The woman who won GBBO a few years ago - and subsequently made a birthday cake for the Queen - has a BBC cooking programme on at the moment and has great ideas.

Bread sticks and tomato salsa. A little tub of red yellow & green i.e. cherry tomatoes, chopped yellow pepper & cucumber, mini BabyBel, Cheese straws & a jar of chutney.
Pate rolls. Slices of cold pizza. Sliced chicken breast- cooked from the supermarket if you don’t want to cook- or hard boiled eggs they can peel themselves.

Things that nmke an appearence in our picnics:
Those tubs of sausage rolls or cocktail sausages.
Individual malt loaves.
A box of grapes usually gets to lunch time unsquashed.

Do you have access to an oven?

If yes i would cook up a big batch of chicken legs at night then take them cold with coleslaw, bread and butter, some fruit and cherry tomatoes.

If no how about crackers, cheese slices, sausage rolls, satsumas, carrot and cucumber sticks.

Pitta bread with humous
Sausage rolls
Pastrami bagels
Slices of quiche
Olives
Falafel
Rice cakes
My DC love anything on a kebab stick: cubes of cheese, olives, tomatoes, peppers, cut up sausage, rolled up ham etc...
Often I freeze frubes instead of using an ice pack.
Easy-peelers make good picnic fodder.

If you have access to an oven, I would get breaded chicken breasts and cook them. I then slice them and put them in a wrap or pitta. I then add:
Mini sweet peppers
Cucumber
Various different fruits
A frube
A mini box of raisins each
Then I get a small sandwich bag and pop in some treats like a pack of crisps/ safari snacks/ two biscuits/ mini chocolate bar/ mini flapjacks/ brownies or chocolate cornflake bites (from m&s or aldi.)
We’ve had the above pretty much everyday of the holidays so far and they’re happy. They really like having their little treat ‘snack pack’ and haven’t got bored of it just yet. We tend to do parks from 10am-7pm in this amazing weather so this keeps them going all day.
