Has anyone got a simple recipe for spag bol? I love it but a lot of recipes seem a bit complicated and/or have a lot of ingredients

It's all about the carrots and time.
I fry ounion, add three carrots (diced), red pepper then garlic. Add mince, cook then add tomatoes, red wine and herbs. Cook for two hours or as long as you can't

I do it in the slow cooker as we all eat at different times-

Tin of chopped tomatoes
Chop a red pepper
Chop an onion
Mince (I brown it before but some don't)
2 teaspoons of garlic (I use a squeezy tube)

That's literally it! Very basic but still nice!

Fry 2 finely diced onions, add mince and brown, throw in sliced mushrooms and garlic. Add in a couple of tbsp of tomato puree, tin of tomatoes and tin full of water, beef stock cube and dried italian herbs or oregano. Season to taste and simmer for as long as possible at least 35 mins. Extras that are not the norm but we really like are use soy sauce instead of salt and add a tablespoon of marmite when adding tomatoes.

Any particular tinned toms?

@tigercub50 I use tinned chopped tomatoes, any brand as they're all the same to me but some may disagree - some shops such as Asda do variations with added herbs/chilli etc. I am happy with value ones as it's just a base sauce.
