There are some on Amazon under £40. Has anyone used these, and are some better for certain foods than others?
It sounds as if they use quite a lot of power, which isn't great.
I rarely use the oven so I'm not sure if running it on its own to dry food would be cheaper. (Jack Monroe recommends drying food while the oven heats or cools from other dishes)
Is dehydrated stuff very sweet?
How difficult are the machines to clean?
