Cooking with teenagers

What books would you recommend for teenagers learning to cook? Something we could use whilst cooking together on weekends and would cover all the basics in a structured way. Other resources (TV shows, websites) and other tips of getting teenagers interested in cooking (haha) also welcome.

Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food is good for learning to cook. Lots of basic recipes to build on think curry, roasts, stews, salads. Covers all the bases.

I get my teenagers to take it week about cooking on a Friday night - they can choose something I have cooked before or something else from a file - looking for recipes from the internet or my quite extensive collection of recipe books is an option, I get some out from the library every week too. I can't recommend one book - I suggest you get them to learn to cook their favourite meals, pizza, pasta, curries, chilli, burgers, roasts, Chinese, Thai....find recipes online they are often rated then move on to new things.
It is very lovely when your ds's can cook and they beam with pride while everyone eats their food and compliments fly around - it's very moving.

Another vote for Sam Stern here, great recipes that my preteen can follow. It is the only cook book we have got 3 times on the bounce from the local library. It's brilliant

I should add my preteen is a very skilled baker, her cakes are amazing :) DH is very busy putting DD2 to bed while me & DD1 eat way too much cake :)
