Electric frying pan / flattish multicooker?

Would one of these be any good for someone who likes to cook pancakes and similar things?

This would be one of the flat frying pan like multicookers, rather than a deep saucepan type one that is obviously not as accessible for flat items.

Oops, posted too early. Basically wanting to find out if they can be as good for these sorts of things as a stove is.
