Summer meal ideas

I'm melting in this warm weather and haven't wanted to heat the house up further by cooking. What have you been eating that needs minimal cooking and preferably not using the oven ?

Bread cheese ham and salad!!
Hot dogs

I have a recipe book called a salad for all seasons so mainly working my way through the spring/summer section

Salads Salads Salads... I love a good salad.
How about with quiche, cheeses, cold meats, chicken, fish or new potatoes. I make a basic salad and add different things to it ie it could be a selection... pine nuts, avocado, beetroot, Coleslaw sliced onions, sweetcorn, fresh florets of cauliflower, fresh peas. I find it really filling.

But I agree I take a base salad and add the extras to bulk it out
