my dd has pasta/jacket potato's with various fillings but I want to do something different (she is 2yr old just about) anyone got any quick easy meal ideas that means I won't be slaving over the oven twice a day, I was going to try her with boiled egg and toast but not sure, tia

homemade soup and stews that you can make in a big pan, then freeze in little pots and just defrost when you need (I put in fridge before bed and then it's ready by lunch the next day).

ds (20 months) loves vegetables so I often do a pan of veggies (literally takes 2 mins to prepare, or even buy pack from supermarket of carrot batons, cauli, brocolli etc) and then he just eats them with his fingers - it's his favourite meal!!

also do scrambled egg, spagetti hoops, beans etc on toast if short of time

or sandwiches cut up small so he can feed himself (usually with a handful of crisps on the side!)

or make extra chicken/fish with the evening meal and then add it too cous cous or pasta which makes a quick and easy lunch

Pitta pockets are great and you can fill them with all kinds of things. DS likes tuna, mayonnaise and sweetcorn; tuna and cheese; chicken, avocado and tomato; ham and cheese etc. Pasta pockets (e.g. tortelloni) with either mayonnaise or home made tomato sauce is also a big favourite in our house (mayo blended with toms and add Worcester sauce).
