Adult picnic ideas

I'm going on a date night with oh to listen to a band in a park, really wanted to pack a nice / special picnic for us, but in the last 10 years have only really made family picnics.

Won't have time for baking or much prep as working all week. Any good suggestions?

Thanks

Do adults eat different food to families, then?

Are you planning on baking/cooking yourself or are you after some good supermarket alternatives?

Cheese, baguette, bottle of wine, grapes that sort of thing...

What an unhelpful response can't cope Hmm m&s do great picnic food. It's sort of like tapas but doesn't need heating up and is great for picnics. Homemade sausage rolls are quick to make and always a winner

Wow. Is this "Do adults eat different food to families, then?" necessary?!

I would like:

Olives
Tomato basil and mozzeralla salad
A nice lentil/quinoa salad you can eat with a fork with goat's cheese and beetroot
Falafels
Hummus
Nice ham / salami, pickled onions and gherkins
Good bread and real butter
WINE
Strawberries
Nice crisps
PROSECCO
Ice

Nice picnic basket and nice big rug.

Have fun.

Oh I would go peruse the picnic nibbly bits aisle in Waitrose or m&s - get some nice tapas style bits, posh 'artisan' bread, cheese & biscuits, nice bottle of wine...

Thanks for the helpful suggestions so far !

Just brain dead / exhausted at the moment, couldn't think of what nice things to pack.

Usually our family picnics are sandwiches/ sausage rolls/ crisps / a cake and fruit.

Hopefully easy to buy things - we have a m&s food near us or a Morrisons

Raid M&S. Take plates, cutlery, a sharp knife, napkins, glasses and a bottle opener. Food wise - nice bread, some ripe brie, pate, ripe tomatoes, some tapas bits, pasta salad. Cake or some form of dessert?

Good french stick, real salted butter, favourite cheese, good wine that really compliments the cheese.
Strawberries, Cava or similar.
