Help! I let the cake cool and forgot to add the drizzle...

Should I poke holes in it and add the drizzle anyway? Should I heat it up in the oven and then drizzle? Or should I leave out this step and just ice it? I'm following this recipe: www.bbc.com/food/recipes/pistachio_cardamom_and_90362

Skewer and drizzle- very slowly as it won’t absorb as quick

If the cake is cool, you could warm up the drizzle a bit & that should work.
I wouldn't heat up the cake, I don't think.
