I've tried PACT and Django. Have found them both a bit bitter, not sure if it's my machine. Any recommendations for freshly roasted beans that are very normal bog standard, smooth tasting? I've no idea what to buy.

What coffee beans have you had in the past that you like?

And what do you use to make coffee - machine? cafetiere?

Wish I knew. All my (admittedly) supermarket bought coffee doesn't give me the kick I need.

I've gone from nespresso to bean to cup. Had a lot of problems with nespresso delivery and liked the fact that bean to cup was more fairtrade and environmentally friendly. I'm using a sage machine but the coffee is bitter. I've tried lowering the brewing temp. But either I have the wrong beans or I'm doing something wrong. I recently went to Portugal and loved the coffee there...
