With tinned fish for preference please!

the last batch i made were so disastrous, they had to be reincarnated as a cheese topped bake!

I just copy my neighbour. Tin of pressed cod roe, slice it, coat it, fry it

i put mine in the freezer for half an hour to chill before coating them in breadcrumbs and cooking. they hold together better when cold.

yes, last lot stayed together fine.

looked good but tasted like crap

Moomin · 16/05/2007 21:21

Made some tonight - usually when I make them for me I don't use much fat and they are rubbish. Tonight though I added egg for one thing and then shallow fried them in about half an inch of sunflower oil, really hot. I purposely didn't mess about with them but left them to brown for a fair few mins. They turned out MUCH better!

lulumama · 16/05/2007 21:22

great lucy! i;ll take a pass on that recipe if you don;t mind!!

how do you make yours then moomin...just potato, fish, seasoning and egg?

You could always go the thai route and just puree fish with spices and an egg and then fry spoonful's of it.
