Favourite dark chocolate?

I want to try some new dark chocolate as I'm following a low carb diet so milk choc has too much sugar in and I can eat a family size one in a single sitting

I've tried and like 80-85%, any more might be a little bitter.

What brand/type would you recommend please? :)

Bourneville or Lidl's own brand- 39p for a big bar!

It has to be

Montezumas

The Lindt dark hazelnut tastes the most like milk chocolate that I’ve tried. It’s like Ferraro Rocher.

Aldi have a good selection of chocolate. I don't think I've eaten the dark choc (I prefer milk) but I have used it in making some brownies and they were absolutely delicious!

Montezuma all the way.

InanimateCarbonRod · 01/05/2018 20:02

Lindt 90%. Once you’re on low carb a while it doesn't taste bitter any more.

Green & Blacks. The velvet one tastes like milk chocolate. Not sure of the sugar content though.

ppeatfruit · 02/05/2018 12:55

Yeah I 2nd Green and Blacks , their dark ,ginger one is delicious!!! Not too sweet either.

There are many others; Hotel Chocolat is expensive but nice and Plamil do some good sugar free ones (found mainly in Health Food shops).

I don’t know if it’s low carb but the Aldi cherry and chilli 85% chocolate is my favourite ever dark chocolate. Otherwise Lindt 90%.

Godiva 72%. They sell it in Sainsbury's and it's gorgeous.

thenorthernluce · 02/05/2018 13:20

Aldi Moser Roth 70% dark chocolate with sea salt - and the best thing is you can buy it in packs of five 20g bars, so built in portion control!

sexnotgender · 02/05/2018 13:23

Sainsbury’s 85% is delicious.
It’s 5 individually wrapped bars.

Ekphrasis · 03/05/2018 15:33

Ooooh I swing between g and b's and Lindt. I think Lindt is smoother and sweeter but there's a deep kick to g and b's.

Hotel chocolat. Can't beat it.
