Hi

My 9 year old is just starting to have more school lunches so I'm thinking of different light teas I could make for him?

Sandwiches
Soup and crusty bread
Salad, new potatoes , cold meat

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Mine always eat a 'proper' dinner - school meals are tiny and they are always hungry. Not helpful, sorry!

Home made bean burgers without a bun and some salad-y bits on the side

Bruschetta with various toppings

Ploughman’s

I would probably still offer a normal meal ...you can never be sure how much they actually get/eat and then they are normally running around at break/lunch time plus they are still growing

Thanks everyone!

I'm not expecting the school lunches to be overly filling but DS is a creature of habit and feels short changed if he doesn't have a sandwich ( or something similar) once a day! I'll add bits to it to pad it out
