Hi! So I'm new to this site so please bare with me 😂
I'm just wondering if anybody cooks meals in bulk? Im wanting to make a week's worth of tasty meals for my son. Freezeable so I can just get them out on the planned day. I'm cooking 3+ separate meals a day and I'm just looking for a solution to not have to rush around and meal times
Im not sure if this is even something that is doable but any advice would be great

Thanks 🙂

This sounds odd but google freezer dump meals . I used to make loads every other Sunday- though it is more suited to winter I think.

Yes I bulk cook all the time. When meatballs are reduced, I buy 48 or 60 cook them in a spag Bol type sauce: bag them up and then whip them out of the freezer in the morning and then when I get home, it's easier.

I do the same for chilli, spag Bol,chicken curry.

Every time I make lasagne or shepherds pie, I make 2, one goes in the freezer.

@Oblomov18 how long do things tend to keep in the freezer for you?
Id like to do probably a month worth of different meals for my son that will keep in the freezer but I'm always unsure when it comes to freezing things like pasta 🙈

This fab recipe for enchiladas serves 10 and gives freezing instructions in the recipe.
www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/11259/chicken-and-bean-enchiladas Once you've wrapped the beans and chicken in the tortillas, transfer individually into freezer bags
I often make a batch of mini quiches in a cupcake tin and freeze them all. It's easy to get a few out whenever I need them and they're handy to have if I don't have anything else for the kids' packed lunches! These mini toad in the holes work in the same way (but not for packed lunches, obv.) www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/mini-toad-holes
I also do fish cakes, burgers and kebabs.

@Ricekrispie22 I love bbcgoodfood recipes too!
Admittedly I am vegetarian (my partner and son are not though) so I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff! The mini quiches for packed lunches is a great idea too- I'll have to remember that one!
