Have you got a mincer? Could make some burgers stuffed with mozerella? Then make a BBQ sauce to go with it?

lulumama · 13/05/2007 15:28

Hahahaha me? Recipe?

Um

Chop the steak up and fry it with onions. Add the veg, chopped, and some tinned tomatoes. Put some curry paste in, and plenty of coriander, and leave to simmer for ages, until all the veg are nice and soft. Serve with rice.

colditz · 13/05/2007 15:52

Nothing NOTHING I cook is big or scarey in any way.

AitchTwoOh · 13/05/2007 15:54

i find minute steak brilliant in stir-fries. just bung it in at the last minute or it'll overcook. ooooh, or mushroom stroganoff, yum.

lulumama · 13/05/2007 15:56

lovely !! mwah mwah!

now, can i do some sort of broth thing, with the beef, coriander and some miso?

have lost my instinct for cooking,sadly...

god, yeah, that would be lush. any noodles in the house? broccoli, 'shrooms etc?

AitchTwoOh · 13/05/2007 16:04

add a splash of dry sherry if you've got some. or mirin would be better.

lulumama · 13/05/2007 16:05

got noodles, broccoli, no sherry though....will have a go at that later !

Cut steak up into strips, fry with onions, sprinkle a bit of flour in, soy sauce and a touch of water and a little sprinkle of sugar. Throw in veg for crunch factor. Serve with noodles or rice.

AitchTwoOh · 13/05/2007 16:13

there'll be something in there, for sure. i got that nigel slater 30 minute meals book recently for the same reason, i'd got a bit ho-hum in my cooking. he has a brilliant chicken stir-fry recipe in it and the rest of the recipes are either good or inspiring, whihc is useful.
i'm going to put my very own home-made made-up in my head veggie moussakka recipe on the blog soon, should have done before but it's all a bit vague really. anyway, it's dd's absolute favourite thing at the moment and easy peasy.

lulumama · 13/05/2007 17:39

thanks.....will get a-cooking x
