With mushrooms and peppers on said kebabs...what would you serve with them?

We have rice and pitta bread last week. But it was really 'meh'

A big bowl of cous-cous with lemon, mint, coriander and parsley all mixed in. Maybe finely diced tomato and onion too. Might have this for dinner now!

A raita, yoghurt mint chilli lime juice, is nice. And some chutney like mango. And a sharpish salad.

MsHomeSlice · 08/04/2018 08:47

I'd stick with chapatis/flatbreads, and go with a more exciting salady/veg option

Sour cream, raita, pickly cucumber, mango chutney, lime and chilli dressing

I get a bit weird about mixing food cultures...couldn't find naans the other day in aldi and dh bought a garlic flat bread, but it made me feel all odd, so I raked in the cupboard and had poppadoms instead :o
I do love chicken and cous cous though, it just has to match better than tikka and cous cous

Thank you. Shall try a tangy salad, some raita and proper bread this time )options were limited Last week)

Either naan bread or pilau rice. Then with mint chutney, raita and a lemony salad.

Not too bad with pita bread either if it's warmed up and softened a bit.

I am with MsHomeSlice about mixing food cultures.
Anyway I would go with a fancier rice or plain wraps, Madhur Jaffrey has a nice mint and coriander chutney recipe that goes with lots of Indian dishes and a kachumber salad.
Maybe swap the rice for a dahl or saag aloo?

Flatbreads and some leaves. Might add that to next weeks meal plan!

FluffyWuffy100 · 09/04/2018 20:50

Paratha / roti (buy frozen and just take a few mins to heat to lovely flaky yummy ness)

Extra tika sauce
