I have 12 limes. Does anyone have a lovely, foolproof dessert I can make? Nothing too sweet.

I can give you an idea for 3 of them!
Lime cheese cake.
Packet of ginger biscuits crushed and mixed with 3ozs melted butter. 2 tubs of mascapone in a bowl with 4oz icing sugar, zest & juice of 2 limes. Mix it all together and put on the buscuit base. Chill for 2 hours.

Thats 2 of them not 3 - sorry!!

You could make 6 of those then.

how about slicing a couple of them up and freezing them then you will always have a slice to go with you G&T? Handy when you have people over for dinner. Lime is nicer than lemon in gin too (IMO)

Mix granulated coffee with cocoa, brown sugar and breadcrumbs and then layer this mix with whipped double cream in a glass dish so you get stripes. Can lace cream with alcohol if so desired.

Chill for a few hours.

Dead easy, not very sweet and surprisingly impressive. Only downer is the chill time.

Thank you. Noodle, I've got 12 because I bought four yesterday to make 2 cakes for a friend's school spring fair. But before I bought mine, I'd asked DH to get them when he went to the shop. He forgot, and bought 4 on his way home today, not realising I'd got them. And then when I went into the fridge for something else earlier, I found four that I'd forgotten I had. And to cap it all, I decided to make coffee and walnut cakes - because I also found walnuts I'd forgotten I had - instead of lime and coconut cakes! I think I'll do a nice biscuit-based cheesecake/key lime pie thing. Thanks for your help, everyone.
