Oooooh I'm excited!

My new oven and hob get installed today.

I'm ridiculously happy about this!

And so you should be,!, Is it in? What have you cooked for dinner?

Took a few hours (we had to make the hole for the hob bigger) but it went in fine.

There's going to be a bit of adjusting - my old one was wrecked and had two temperatures, stone cold or magma. Consequently it made amazing oven chips, baked potatoes etc, but was terrible for cakes. I'm hopeful I can cook a nice victoria sponge this weekend now!

Yesterday's meal wasn't massively succesful (edible, just a tad pale) as I didn't have the temperature set high enough, but today I blasted those homemade oven chips at 220 degrees and they came out lovely and crispy.
