Looking to buy a bread maker which is smallish so it doesn't take up too much space , any recommendations?

This thread is a bit old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for bread makers, we’ve recently updated our best bread maker page with loads of great options loved by Mumsnet users, including compact models. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

I’ve just bought this one

It’s brilliant and makes beautiful bread but you must follow the measurements of flour, sugar etc perfectly (I think this is the same for all bread makers though and baking bread in general). Its also got a great delay timer on it so you can pop all the ingredients in the night before and set it to be ready with freshly baked bread when you wake up. It’s brilliant and makes my house smell wonderful in the mornings. It’s not too small though but that doesn’t bother me so much.

I think Lakeland do a small one. I can't recommend it as I've not used it, but I expect it's good if it's sold via them.

panasonic - i love mine and it always gets good reviews

I've finally bought a Panasonic after waiting a decade for my old breadmaker to die! The difference is amazing. Far better bread, bigger loaves, better flavour, texture and appearance.

Panasonic, and preferably a simple one to use!

Panasonic all the way! The fruit dispenser is a bonus for making raisin bread, not that I use it much for that.

Fav flour for it is Cotswold Crunch.
