Can I use chocolate digestives as a cheesecake base?

I've got an American recipe for a chocolate brûlée cheesecake I want to make for Easter Sunday, the recipe said 'dark chocolate biscuits' so I bought dark choc digestives, but now I'm wondering how that will work? Did they mean something like Oreos or borboun creams with the cream scraped out?

I have a cheesecake recipe which uses bourbon biscuits for the base (filling and all). And it's lovely. So I don't see why the choc digestives wouldn't work. I'd certainly give it a try

Yes but put them in the fridge for a bit before you crumble them. If the chocolate is at room temperature it may stop the biscuits from crumbling properly but if it is cold it will be brittle.

I did this once by mistake.

I will never use plain digestives for cheesecake base again. Chocolate digestives make a bloody A Ma Zing base!
