Homemade chicken nuggets - can you freeze them (need a quick answer!!)?

The ones where you dip chicken pieces in flour then egg then cornflakes? I've got lots of cornflakes etc left over so I could make a few more! Chicken is sitting on the side as I type and I'm fielding off the cat...help!

i can't see why you couldn't freeze them. are they cooked or uncooked?

yes you can

fine...but you'll need to put greaseproof paper or clingflim between each layer so they don't stick together...iyswim

or what i do freeze them spread out on a tray then bag them up after frozen

sorry for a hijack - but how do you make them? DH/I are set on J not having 'brought' nuggets but i'd like to do HM ones and use proper breast if that makes sence?

Just what I said at the beginning, cut up chicken breasts into quite small pieces (as they get bigger when covered!) whisk up an egg in a bowl, you need another bowl with a few spoonfuls of plain flour and another with crushed cornflakes. Dip the chicken pieces in flour first (roll around to make sure they are covered) same with egg then cornflakes. Bake at gas 6 for 20- 25 mins.

lol no it's ok, thought it would be as you said just wanted to double check - do you use olive oil or not bother with anything?

I usually brush the baking tray with a tiny bit of oil to stop them sticking. My dc are tucking into theirs now (I've given them both a mini bowl of ketchup to dip in so it's like...ahemm....'old' macdonalds)
