Recipes to use up apples

I have found my self with a excess of eating apples (Granny Smith and Braeburn varieties), does anyone have any favourite recipes to share that will use them up?

Savoury rather than baking, but I like casseroles with apple and sausage like this.

I tend to use spicy sausage like Polish ones, or chorizo.

If you've got a freezer, slice them up, freeze dry in a single layer on a baking tray in the freezer for 24h, then bag up and freeze for future use.

Rather late for your apples but maybe useful for the future.

Peel and slice. Cook in microwave in covered bowl until just starting to soften. This will prevent them going brown. Cool and freeze for future use. As they are not as sharp as cooking apples, when using them for pies or crumbles, add strawberries or raspberries to the apples. I often use a handful of frozen ones.

Alternatively, use as a base for a fruit pudding and just top with a basic sponge mixture. Maybe sprinkle with some flaked almonds. (Using the slightly softened apples.)

You can also make a basic sponge mixture and top with slices of raw apple. Sprinkle with a little sugar and maybe a little lemon juice.
