Netherton Forge cast iron slow cooker

Does anyone have one and if so, would you recommend?

I've tried slow cookers in the past- the Crockpot type ones- and have twice given it away because I find they 'taint' the food. I work long hours though and slow cooking would make life easier for me.

I wonder if the Netherton Forge slow cooker is worth the money? (£££).

I haven’t got the slow cooker but I have got some of their stuff, expensive but only as expensive as Le Crueset and nice to buy British made.

A casserole pot is about £120 so it doesn’t seem that unreasonable and the fact that if you don’t like it as a slow cooker you can use it forever as a casserole pot would persuade me to try one.

I've had one on my Amazon wishlist for YEARS and no one has bitten Hmm

I might try one then- just as a public service, you understand- and report back.

I have lots of their pots and pans but haven’t tried the slow cooker yet, looking forward to you reporting back so I can add more to the collection Grin
