As in the title, I'm trying to bring our grocery budget down if possible and was hoping that you all might be able to help? Thanks!

Going to my Mum's!

I tend to use the same ingredients for the kids and adults dinners but sometimes cook the dinners in 2 slightly different ways.
So tonight, kids had turkey meatballs (turkey mince and breadcrumbs), cooked in passata with peas and pasta. Dp and I had turkey mince chilli. Another night kids will have a plain omelette and we'll have a mushroom omelette. They'll have wraps with chicken and veg they do like... we'll have fajitas.

We all like roast, sausages, frozen fish and chips, gammon... so those days we have the same.

Just remember another favourite here. Homemade burgers (chicken, or pork and apple, or beef) A pack of mince is way more than enough, Served with homemade coleslaw (you can make a huge volume of coleslaw very cheaply). If meat is too expensive then there are plenty of beanburger recipes out there.

I tend to also hoover up any yellow label meat and chuck it in the freezer. We must save a fortune that way.

Kids eat the same as us - but it's been a long and bumpy journey to get here. Pudding is yoghurt and/or fruit if they still want more (and I don't buy fancy sugary yoghurts!).

Good luck!
